Kampground Activities

Each year, we add more to our on-site activity schedule. This year, you and your family can enjoy:

• Delicious breakfasts at the Merry Moose Pancake House (everyday from May 8 - October 19)
• All kinds of Scavenger Hunts (including those that we give you a day or more to do!)
• Outdoor Movies on our Big Screen (fire and comfy chairs supplied)
• Tye-dye T Shirts (always a camper favorite!)
• Crafts (including coloring and decorating t-shirts and tote bags, making jewelry and more!)
• Clay Pot Decorating (a new event that's been very popular)
• Bingo (Candy Bar Bingo and Family Bingo)
• Face Painting
• Flashlight Candy Hunts
• Ice Cream Socials
• Pizza and Desserts (June 19-Labor Day)

Other Things to Do at the Saco/Old Orchard Beach KOA:

Enjoy our heated pool, playground, game room, horseshoes, basketball and volleyball courts! Fire pits are located at every site, with wood sold at the store and delivered to your site. Don't forget to try our world famous blueberry pancakes and Belgium waffles for breakfast! Great pizza and desserts served in the summer.

Area Activities

Another great aspect of the Saco/Old Orchard Beach KOA is the area in which it is located. We are just off Route I, where you will find not just the conveniences you'll need, but also good restaurants, things to do and easy access to almost everything. Funtown/Splashtown (1/4 mile), Aquaboggan Water Park (1.5 miles), the beaches at Old Orchard Beach (3-4 miles), Cascade Waterfall and Hike (1.5 miles), and Scarborough Marsh (4 Miles) are some examples. Also, lighthouses abound in this area and we can give you directions to several nearby.

You will also find that we are easily accessible to and from the Maine Turnpike and that our location is very central...we are only a 15-20 minute drive to Portland and less than a half an hour to Kennebunkport. In addition, Freeport (LL Bean!) is just a half hour drive and points south of Kennebunkport (Ogunquit, York and Kittery) are no more than 45 minutes to an hour.
